German Art Magazine of the Third Reich

The following description accompanies the wonderful pictures of the magazine "Kunst im Deutschen Reich" in its edition of February 1943, by the well-meaning American seller:

Kunst im Deutschen Reich. This is one of the finest art magazines ever produced in the world; just chock filled with beautiful renditions of realistic art. When the U.S. Air Force put some of the looted NS art on display in Colorado, 97 percent of the people who visited it were very favorably impressed. Nazi art was stark realism that evoked the higher levels of emotional psyche in the German population. This issue is 7 Jahrgang/Folge 2 Ausgabe A, February 1943. Among other artistic offerings is a wonderful picture of a bust of Frederick the Great, a painting of Prince Eugene of Savoy, the immortal Arno Breker, the Ehrenmal of the Feldherrenhalle, Bismark, Hindenburg, Moltke, and Blucher. Absolutely wonderful busts and paintings throughout its 22 pages-complete. USD 50.
